Pumpkin Patch

I love this place.
Love these pictures.
I love all things Halloween.
Love this time of year :)

Borchard Farms is a 15 drive from our house and it's the perfect place to pick out our Halloween Pumpkins for Jack-0-lantern carvings. It's become our little family tradition. We look forward to it every year. The Borchard Family has a wonderful selection of little pumpkins, jumbo pumpkins, cool gords and squashes. Tons of different shapes and even a "brain" pumpkin. They also had a haunted house, corn maze and animal petting area. Jaden just might have his birthday party here next year...........ooh, FUN!

These are a couple of my fav pics from yesterday........Check jaden out in his new fall gear. His cute jacket and shirts are from Naartjie. Totally love that store, they have the most darling clothes and shoes for boys and girls. I got his hat from Old Navy, Jeans are Green Dog by Macy's and Shoes are from the GAP.

Can this litte dude be any cuter???!!!

I'm going to bust out my halloween decor any moment for the inside and outside of the house.
I already bought 1 bag of Brach's Candy Corn.
It's almost gone.
Ooooooooh that's a bad but yummy thing in my house!

CP OUT! :) peace y'all.

Lovin' Mini Books Right Now.....

It's not as complete as I would like it to be, since I really wasn't able to embellish as much as I would have liked too. I added photo corners so my sister in law can just slip in the photos of Austin.

It's his 1st Birthday on Saturday. I remember announcing on my blog last year that I was a new aunt and now he's one! CRAZY! Time sure flies when your having fun.

Have a fab weekend! :)

Pretty Things....

I made this as a gift for my cousin's birthday last Friday. We all ate dinner together to celebrate Patricia's birthday and it was girls only. No husbands, no boyfriends allowed. Just us chickas.

My first mini book ever. No pictures, just quotes from Kobi Yamada's "She" book. It took me about 4 hours from start to finish. It was totally fun to make. Just pulling things left and right, tearing, layering, stamping, painting and being really messy. So totally fun to not have any restrictions and just play and have fun and create.

Very cool.
Very artsy.
Very awesome.

It seriously brought her to tears. She loved it. I didn't know if she would "get" it but she did. There are some peeps out there that don't get what we do with our art. They might think it's dumb or a waste of time. Not this girl, she got it and it did mean alot to me that she appreciated it. After Trish opened it, everyone wanted to see it. I looked at thier reactions as they read the qoutes. The She quotes that everyone seemed to like the most was "She woke up one day and threw away all of her excuses." It seemed to touch a cord with these women.

If you haven't already read the "She" book by Mr. Yamada.
Check it out.
It's so worth it.

Then you can make one of these books for a special woman in your life. Be it your sister, mother or best friend.

I think I might make some more of these for Christmas Gifts......yep, think so.

*********************************************************************

Friday was also my 5th wedding anniversary.

Dave had to work so we decided to celebrate it on Saturday. But my wonderful husband had other plans. I had friday off and he got up early, to let me sleep in. He got Jaden ready and took him to the sitters. He came home and woke me up with a Pumpkin latte and paistry from Starbucks. He also had a card and a little gift bag.

Sneaky little dude.

We had decided not to exchange gifts, just go to dinner and a movie.

Dude made other plans...........his card was beauiful and mushy just the way I like them (with a Starbuks GC inside too!) and the little box contained a gorgeous white gold and diamond encrusted ring.

Very nice.
I was a happy camper.
I love my D.

Under Maintenance

my blog has serious issues.
well, let me re-phrase that.
I have serious issues.

I wanted to change the color of background on my blog from black to white and I didn't heed the warning from blogger "if you change background color you will loose all custom settings."

SO like a huge nerd, I pressed it and lost alot of stuff.

I need the following help with:
my banner
getting the SJ ring back
having my layouts from SJ featured
my counter needs to be put back
my bio and picture *done*

Little by little it will go back to it's normal self.

I leave you with my a layout I did today called:

"This Much"

Oh and I got my nosed pierced on Sunday.
No bling yet.
still need to take a pic of it.
I have cell phone video of myself getting it done.
email me if you want to see it.
I won't post it here.

Peace out my homies!
